My friend's idea. It's a dark theme with a biohazard theme.

The gtk is the 'Human Login' theme, with customized colours.

Added biohazard-themed wallpaper: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Biohazard-Rust?content=129081 idk if it fits, tho, but figured i'd link it here.

Changelog:

Nah it's fine. Nice theme idea! Maybe use one of these cursors with it?

Like some people do a wallpaper, gtk theme, cursor, icon theme, etc and package it all together =)

At last something that breaks out of the usual "copy the default themes" look (as good as those are).

Only problem I have found is that in Ubuntu Natty 11.04 with Firefox 5.0 text entry boxes do not get set as black in some places so there is white text on white background (unreadable). Solution is to set input box background to some shade of the yellow in the graphics and the text in input boxes to black. There's probably much better colours to use that would match the theme but I have not experimented yet.

It seems to be harder than you make it sound. I didn't really do the GTK theme, just changed the colours from the HumanLogin theme, so I'm not entirely sure what all that changing the colours entails. I changed the base (text-background) colour, and it looks pretty bad on some applications, and also requires me to make the highlight colour black (which looks awful when selecting stuff with the mouse).

I'm not familiar with that either but I found a little GUI a while ago for making colour schemes. It's called Agave: http://home.gna.org/colorscheme.

Doesn't that just do colour-schemes, like picking colours that go well together?
I want something that would let me have a custom "base" colour for text boxes, and just be regular for other things.
Thanks, though.
