Description:

This window border theme makes your windows look similiar to how they did in Microsoft Windows 3.1 ( released in the early 90's so don't expect any fancy graphics here ;) ). It's probably only useful for screenshots, but since it supports all window types and adapts to your font and color settings it could of course be used as a "work" theme too.

Also see the README file inside the package.

Changelog:

Version 1.1:
* Changed close button into an X.

Version 1.2:
Reworked version by Timothy Allen

* Added support for proper non-resizable dialog borders.
* Refactored the code.

Heh, I was going to make something like this for my first Metacity theme... looks like I was beaten to it, though. =P Good job!

Now, I'm going to give you a mittle modification I made. I didn't quite like the double arrows for the close button (it looks... wierd), so I made my own.
First, get this image and save it as close.png in the theme's folder (/home/username/.themes/Win3.x/metacity-1/):
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4690/closesc8.png
Then, in this theme's metacity-theme-1.xml file, comment out lines 199 to 202, then paste in:
< draw_ops name="close_icon" >
< image filename="close.png" x="0" y="0" width="width" height="height" / >
< / draw_ops >
Remove the spaces between angle brackets and slashes (GNOME-Look's commenting system doesn't like XML it seems)
Save, and reload. You should now have an X glyph in place of two arrows!

I know, I know, I could have used drawing methods available in Metacity, but I dunno how to use those yet. :P

Thank you guys for all of your nice comments :)

I've changed the close button now. I didn't use your image but metacity drawing functions as you suggested.

 Crash...

When I select this theme it crashes Metacity (actually restarting over and over again for a while).
And it causes metacity-theme-viewer to dump core.
This is using Metacity 2.15.2

So. Now it's time to do a matching Gtk2 theme. I'll try something.

Reminds me of the good old days after I got my first computer. Hope to see a matching gtk theme :)
