Theme/Style for KDE 4.0

Score 56%
KvSimple for Kvantum

Downloads:  654
Submitted:  May 11 2015
Updated:  Jul 20 2015

Description:

KvSimple is a light, monochrome Kvantum theme with an emphasis on elegant simplicity. It needs Kvantum>=0.8.23 and supports window translucency (can be disabled by Kvantum Manager).

For the best look, a matching Arorae decoration is also included (which works under both KDE4 and KF5 but with different installaton paths -- see INSTALL).

Changelog:

21 Jul 2015
------------
* Added a matching Openbox decoration theme.

20 Jul 2015
------------
* More elegant progressbars, scrollbars, sliders and floating tabs.
* Added optional translucency.
* Added a separate background for dialogs to integrate their titlebars (needs Kvantum>=0.8.23).

I've never liked the flat themes at all. Just because Microsoft did it for Windows 8, does that mean that those of us in Linux-land have to use flat themes, too? I for one think not.

While I personally am not a KDE user (I use LXDE), I have to say I love this theme, and in fact, once LXDE is completely ported over to Qt and thus becoming LXQt, I will more than likely download this theme then.

Thank you, Fred!
I'm not a fan of flat themes either but I make them to test Kvantum and to prove that it's an impartial style engine.
Although I prefer dark themes, KvSimple has become my favorite ;)

I don't use openbox but if it's capable of having nice decorations with gradients, why not? I'll let you know.

After googling for LXQT, I decided to try it on my desktop computer :) I'll surely make an openbox theme but that may take a while.

I added a matching Openbox decoration. Please test it!

Installation of LXQT on Debian was a lot easier than I thought, by using the siduction repository. I'm happy that Kvantum integrates so well with LXQT.

Really? Faenza flattr was may favorite. Are you sure that its author hasn't moved it somewhere else -- dA for example? If it has really disappeared fromInternet, I could upload a modified version of it, which I use.

Ok. Let me first try LXQT and know if it accepts KDE icon theme structures. Then I'll have to edit/add some icons and choose a good name for the set. As said above, It'll take a while but I'll do it.
