The concept of this style is harmony of sharpness and softness.
And this style was created based on keramik.
(Please do not ask me about the origin of this style name.)

The kwin client is not contained in this style.
You will be able to get it at the following URL.

To Install:

./configure --prefix="`kde-config --prefix`"
make install

(Please restart KDE after installation)

Ver 1.2.1
*"Surround the taskbar buttons with dark borders" option was added to "Extra Options" group.
(See 3rd screenshot)
*"Disable KMenu Titles" option was added to "Features to disable" group.

Ver 1.2
*The version of Keramik used as a basis was changed to what is contained in KDE-3.2.2.
*"Remove 'subtract-line' area from 'add-line' button of scrollbar" option was added to "Extra Options".
*The custom color option for the statusbar borders was added to "Border Colors" group in "Custom Colors" category.

Ver 1.1.8a(maintenance release)
*Fixed styleconf/activeheartconf.cpp file against the compile error relating to "getenv" function.

Ver 1.1.8
*Scheme manager can read the global scheme files now.
The global scheme file means the scheme files stored in "$KDEDIR/share/apps/kdisplay/styleconfs" directory.
(This feature is mainly based on Piotr Szymanki's work. And I improved it.)
*The custom color option for the menu separators was added to "Menu Colors" group.
*"Border's thickness of menubar and toolbar follows contrast" option was added to "Extra Options"

Ver 1.1.7
*"Reduce pushbutton size" option was added to "Extra Options".

Ver 1.1.6
*Changed the light weight combobox's pulldown buttons thinly.
*"Highlight the active taskbar button with the active tabline color" option was added to "Extra options".

BTW: I do not know a way for adding the "Apply" button to config dialog.

I am trying to download 1.1.3 currently and the download link seems to point to Yahoo Japan Geocities page. Could you please fix it?

Hi everybody, I'd like to know where I can find the icons I can see in the preview because I like very much, or instead of that, the icon collections' name in the way I could find it

Thanks a lot

 my new fav style

by Imrahil on: Apr 7 2004

Active Heart is so stylish, I can't get over showing off my desktop with this style and Korilla icons. The baghira windeco goes great with this style as well. Plastik is a great minimal style, but the things I like about active heart are the great tabs (the tabline makes a big visual appeal and makes it easy to see active tab), the color customization, and the menus are perfect. One area I would suggest as a possible improvement would be to make the taskbar buttons customizable. Perhaps allow the user to set an active taskbar button color. Or allow a colored line, similar to the tabbar. That way the active task would be as easy to find quickly as with the tabs.

Amazing job, and keep up the good work, perhaps this style could be included in future kdeartwork releases.

 Editable Combobox

by oshogg on: Apr 7 2004

I really like the light-weight look for editable combobox and I have selected that as my default. However, I notice that when I enable that and I click on the arrow on the right side that displays the list of values for the combobox below it, these values are not aligned with the value in the combobox entry. If this entry has icon (like in Konqueror's Location entry box), the list of possible values for this entry's icons and the icon in the entry itself are not aligned.

Most other styles keep them aligned which gives it a nice look and finish.

Could you please look into this?
