My favorite times are quiet evenings in front of a fireplace, a campsite sitting in front of the campfire ... sipping coffee while watching the rain ... or just taking in a movie or DVD with my wife ...

Favourite music:
I am a BIG music fan with a wide range of interests. My favorite are probably country, the blues, and jazz - because when you are singing them they are the easiest to add-lib on-the-fly. I like country, rock, some disco, and ballads. I love Christian music. When I am working on the computer, though, techno is my favorite. Somehow it keeps me focused. |
Favourite tv shows:
Today there is very little worth watching on television. I do enjoy a good episode of Star Trek Voyager or Next Generation now and then. My favorites are probably the Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The Travel Channel, and Animal Planet!

Favourite movies:
My favorite movie is with Anthony Hopkins ... he gets stranded in the northern frontier, and he has to help those with him to survive - all the while as they avoid a very, very hungry grisly bear!
THE EDGE
Good flick.
My favorite part? the music. You can feel the cold, the wind, the environment ... just through the music.

About Me
I am a hopeless romantic! I write poetry, short stories, and songs. I love rainy and foggy days. I like to take walks with my wife through nature, go camping with her in the outdoors, and take my Jeep and go places we really cannot go in a normal car.
I love to sit in the woods and listen to the raindrops after a rain as they slowly drip from the leaves, in the quiet of the woods.
My feelings run deep - really deep. My values are true, solid, black-and-white. My commitments are true, as well. I am a believer in absolutes. When I am your friend, there are no grey areas with me - you are my friend, period.
That survives all attacks, all obstacles, and all that we may go through. I am not perfect, but my beliefs are solid, deep-rooted, and of honor and character. These are what keep me grounded, as a friend, and as a person ... and they are what bring me back when I stray or fall short.

My PC:
An IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T-61, 14-inch display, extra battery life, webcam, bluetooth, WWAN, wifi, etc. running openSUSE LINUX and KDE (and GNome), with VirtualBox sessions of Windows XP, Windows 7, Solaris, MS-DOS, etc.
I also play around with my wife\'s Macbook Pro (Mac OSx/Mountain Lion) trying to decide what to use as my primary OS. (I really want it to be LINUX, but many features only work with Windows [out of the question] and MacOSx)
In my computer lab (The Man Cave), I have several servers, PCs, and equipment.
